September real estate market moves on from election
The national median price was $420,000 for the month of September, an increase of $20,000 compared to September 2013, and steady from August 2014. Central Otago Lakes recorded the largest percentage increase in median price compared to September 2013, with a 14.3% increase, followed by Taranaki with an 11.6% increase and Canterbury/Westland with a 10.1% increase.

Police: Body of Arkansas real estate agent found
This undated photo provided by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office shows Beverly Carter. Authorities say Carter's body was found early Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, in a shallow grave at a concrete company, about 25 miles northeast of Little Rock, Ark. Carter had been missing since Thursday.
